Chief Executive Officer
Scott is a high energy and successful leader who has held a number of regulated roles in financial services. Scott has strong stakeholder management skills, the ability to add value and make complex matters simple. He has a background in Insurance, Banking and Consulting and has previously acted as Chief Operating Officer and interim Finance Director in another Managing Agency. Scott has also functioned as a Finance and Risk Director of a PRA and FCA regulated entity. Scott became Chief Executive of the Beat Syndicates in April 2024.
Andrew Cunningham
Active Underwriter
Andrew is a qualified actuary and experienced underwriter, Andrew brings more than three decades’ worth of experience to the position. Acting as Deputy Active Underwriter since 2019, prior to assuming the role of Active Underwriter in September 2023, Andrew previously held senior positions in both broking and underwriting businesses, including underwriting, actuarial and leadership roles at Brit and at Hampden Risk Partners
Chloe Bulmer
Director of Underwriting
Chloe has worked for 19 years in the London insurance market after starting her career at UBS in M&A. Within insurance she was initially a broker at Willis, before joining Chubb as a Financial Institutions underwriter. Chloe then joined QBE where she was for 10 years before recently joining Beat as Director of Underwriting. Whilst at QBE she ran the Financial Institutions team before moving up to sit on the UK Exec for Financial Lines.
Ajay Ganger FIA
Chief Actuary & Head of Strategy
Ajay has 10+ years of experience and is currently Head of Actuarial and Exposure Management. Ajay joined Beat in 2020 having previously worked with the founding Beat Management team from 2019 when part of Asta Managing Agency. Ajay started his career at Travelers operating across their Lloyd’s and London Market platforms in a number of roles across actuarial and performance management. He is a qualified actuary and holds a Chief Actuary Practicing Certificate having worked across all areas of Actuarial and Exposure Management, including Capital, Reserving and Pricing.
Jonathan Gormley
Chief Claims Officer
Jonathan has worked in the Lloyd’s market for over 30 years and held senior technical and operational roles (overseeing claims functions >100 adjusters). Prior to joining Beat in 2020, Jonathan was Deputy Head of Claims at AEGIS London for 8 years and has chaired various LMA committees and been involved in various market improvement initiatives and leading the response to some of the markets largest and most complex losses.
Richard Wayman
Chief Operations Officer
Richard has worked in the financial services sector for over 28 years of which 24 years have been within the London/Lloyd’s Market, holding senior business transformation and leadership roles. Richard started his career working for NatWest supporting the RBSG takeover and UK market wide systems migrations. Richard was then recruited into Advent Underwriting and subsequently Neon Underwriting to lead their respective technology divisions, delivering digital business transformation projects across multiple business functions.
Annabel Carty
Chief Risk Officer
Annabel is an experienced Risk professional and ICAEW Chartered Accountant. Before joining Statera, she served as Head of Risk Management at Liberty Specialty Markets, where she led a global risk function supporting regulated operations in the UK, Luxembourg, Asia-Pacific, Bermuda, and the US. With a professional background at Deloitte and Axa XL, Annabel brings extensive expertise in UK and international regulatory regimes, risk and governance transformation and strategic risk management.
Hannah Pring
Compliance Director
Hannah is an experienced compliance professional with an Executive MBA and DipCII. Before joining Statera, she served as International Head of Compliance at Lockton, where she led global compliance frameworks supporting regulated operations across multiple jurisdictions. Prior to this, she was Chief Compliance Officer for AIG UK and previously Head of Compliance at Brit Insurance,

Julian Scofield
Chief Financial Officer
Julian has worked for over 25 years in the insurance industry, particularly global general and specialty. Before joining Statera in 2025, he was CFO and board director of MS Amlin Business Services, after having performed various senior Finance roles at MS Amlin and Aviva in particular. He has deep experience in financial and regulatory reporting, and in delivering Finance transformation and M&A. Julian is a qualified chartered accountant, having started his career at PwC.
